Nine injured in Kangan dog attacks

A week after a Kangan boy was critically injured in a dog attack and is battling for life at SKIMS, nine more persons were injured as stray dogs attacked them at different localities in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Monday.

Officials said that seven persons including three members ofa family were injured after a group of dogs attacked them at Sumbal Balla inGund tehsil.

   

They injured were identified as Nasrina Latif, Danish Ahmad,Rukhsana Bano, Ab Rashid Khatana, Shakeela Begam, Ashiq Ahmad Chowhan and OwaisAhmad Chowhan.

Two persons identified as Parvaiz Ahmad of Kangan town andShabir Ahmad were also injured in dog attacks in a separate incident.

Dr Yasmina Kango, superintendent sub-district hospitalKangan told Greater Kashmir that seven persons were shifted to Srinagar hospitals.
