As rains lashed plains and higher reaches recorded snowfall, normal life was thrown out of gear in the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch on Monday.
Reports said that it started to rain across the twindistricts on Monday morning and it was going on till last reports poured in.
Besides rainfall in the lower areas, fresh snowfall wasrecorded in the higher reaches of both the border districts.
While the higher reaches of Kotranka recorded moderatesnowfall, the high altitude areas of Thannamadi received light snowfall.Meanwhile, power supply in some villages of both the border districtsremained affected due to the prevailing inclement weather.
