A five-year-old girl and driver of a minibus died while 25 other people sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident on Nowshera – Lam road on Monday evening.
The minibus (JK11 1411) was on way to Lam from Nowshera when it turned turtle and skidded off the road at Bhatta village. “Driver of the vehicle, 63-year-old Chatter Singh, son of Fateh Singh and 5 years old Sandya Kesar, daughter of Jasbir Singh, both residents of Rajpur Kamila died on the spot,” police said in a statement, adding that 25 other person sustained injuries in the accident. Locals rushed the injured to Sub District Hospital Nowshera where they are receiving treatment and three among the injured were referred to GMCH Jammu for advanced treatment. Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
