Omar Abdullah visits slain Amir Magray’s family in Gool

Ramban: National Conference (NC) Vice President and former chief minister Omar Abdullah Saturday visited Seripura Famrote area of Gool in Ramban district to condole the death and to express his sympathy with the family of youth, Amir Margray, who was killed in Hyderpora area of Srinagar.

Magray was killed along with two other civilians in the Hyderpora encounter.

   

Abdullah once again demanded to hand over the body of Magary to the bereaved family and speed up the probe in the Hyderpora encounter.

He interacted with Muhammad Lateif, the father of the slain youth, and his sister and expressed profound solidarity with the bereaved family.

Interacting with the family members, Abdullah requested the authorities to hand over the body of the deceased to his family for a dignified burial at his ancestral graveyard.

He said that the family of the slain youth cannot run after getting a body.

Abdullah said that the government was already probing the Hyderpora encounter and if it was proved that Amir was associated with militancy then they could take away his body to anywhere or Handwara.

He prayed for the departed soul and for granting forbearance with the bereaved family.
