Jammu: Waqf Development Committee of Union Ministry of Minority Affairs Chairperson and Bharatiya Janata Party’s national executive member, Darakhshan Andrabi Sunday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan.
An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that Andrabi discussed various issues of public importance about employment generation opportunities for the youth, law and order situation, and other development issues with the LG.
The spokesman said that she expressed gratitude to the LG-led administration for reaching out to the tribal population, and requested for taking up the issue of declaring the Pahari community of J&K as Scheduled Tribe with the Centre.
The spokesman said that the LG assured Andrabi that all her concerning issues and suggestions would be taken into consideration, and urged her to continue working for the welfare of the people.
